Overview
In Corpus Christi, the visitor bureau lists an aquarium, museums, a WWII carrier and an arcade. Rockport, Port Aransas and Aransas Pass each have an indoor stop in this guide.
The visitor bureau writes that Corpus Christi summer offers more than sun and surf, and that when you are ready to cool off or escape a sudden summer storm there is a wide range of indoor adventures. A separate bureau guide says an unexpected rain shower does not need to put a damper on a trip, because there are plenty of indoor experiences no matter the weather.
The marine science stops are pitched at visitors of all ages. Both University of Texas Marine Science Institute centers, in Rockport and in Port Aransas, describe exhibits built to teach visitors about local coastal ecosystems.
